I have a PhD in quantum physics from Cambridge, and am awaiting the start of a postdoctoral position at University of California, San Francisco. I gained a first in physics, with a background in Natural Sciences, including cell biology, chemistry and mathematics.
Experience
I am particularly concerned with creating a caring and supportive atmosphere for my students of any age. I am available to tutor physics, biology, chemistry and mathematics from any point up to A Level, and physics and related subjects to degree level. I have tutored Cambridge undergraduate students from first through to third year in physics, in both theoretical and practical classes, and have provided additional support for students with special needs. In addition, I have undertaken summer projects in genetic engineering and theoretical physics. In my A-Levels I obtained A*/A*/A*/A*/A*/A* in Mathematics, Physics, Further Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and General Studies, including 99% in Mathematics, Physics, and Biology. Finally, I grew up on a dairy farm, and have had sole management of the farm during vacations throughout my degree!
